Abstract: The study aims to describe the level of equivalence generated by a translation feature of social media Instagram. This study is a qualitative research in the form of content analysis with the aim of investigating the meanings of content or messages in a text. The data in this research are caption texts (title) in English taken from Instagram which serve as a source language and Indonesian language produced by the translation feature serving as the target language. The total data in this research are 138 caption texts. The research results revealed that 11 data or 7.98% of the data were categorized as equivalent translations, 61 data or 44,20% were categorized as less equivalent translations, and 66 data or 47,82% were categorized as unequivalent translation.
